Liz has many years of experience as a community developer, social policy advocate and social enterprise practitioner. Her career began as a Child and Youth Worker with agencies supporting vulnerable youth in Vancouver’s inner city and as a result of her experiences, logically moved to roles in systemic advocacy with organizations like First Call.

Today Liz is the CEO of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC, a large, provincially-based social service organization with 8 neighbourhood houses and Sasamat Outdoor Centre as part of its portfolio. Prior to her current role, she was the Director of Community Investment for Vancity, managing a variety of teams in the impact business, impact real estate, Indigenous partnerships, sponsorship and events and granting spaces.

Prior to joining Vancity, Liz was the manager of strategic programs for Vancity Community Foundation (VCF), and earlier in her role as executive director, Liz led the Potluck Café Society from start-up through to sustainability. Today, Potluck is an award winning, nationally recognized social enterprise that she still provides volunteer support to.
