Augmented Reality with Meta Spark Studio

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated content with common applications such as video games and camera filters.

In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to learn about the history behind the development of AR and how various types of technologies are being utilized. In addition, students will gain hands-on experience in creating their own camera filters and effects through Meta Spark Studio.

Target age range: 8 - 15 years old

Prerequisites: Preferably Beginner Scratch or Beginner Python, but not required

- Exploring main applications of AR in real life

- Past and present of AR

- Technologies that made AR possible

- Trackers in effects (face, plane, object)

- Segmentations

- Material and texture of 2D and 3D objects

- Particle system

- Effect animation

- Audio playback

- Block-based patch editor

- Blush effect

- Changing hair colours

- Changing backgrounds

- Masquerade filter

- Galaxy effect

- Headphone with music animation

- Birthday gift animation
