The Virtual Gift of Learning

This holiday season is unlike any other for most people around the world. The pandemic has made gift shopping a hassle as well as a safety hazard. That being said, virtual gifts are a must for last minute gift shopping in 2020, and what better gift than a new skill?

While material gifts are always a hit, the gift of new knowledge is far more useful. If you were opting for gifting a book that reflects the recipient’s interests, why not a more interactive form of learning like an online course? During a time like this, when most of us are stuck at home, online courses are an excellent and productive pastime. We can only do so much, and be entertained for so long, by our material gifts. The gift of an online course will not only pass the time, but upgrade our knowledge and skills and provide us with a new hobby to maintain during quarantine. Virtual learning is the gift that keeps on giving.

Passing the time is even more important for children, most of whom are becoming more restless by the minute amidst lockdowns. We need to utilize all this extra free time and provide kids with opportunities to learn and further develop their skills and interests. Short term online courses are also a great way for children to prepare and practice their computer skills for future online schooling, which appears to be a likely scenario for most Canadians as we move into the new year. Given the circumstances, online education is expanding at an exponential rate and is a reality that children must adapt to.

If you are looking for a gift for a child that has expressed interest in computers and/or technology, CODE has you covered with our online classes that teach children different coding & computer programming skills. We provide online gift cards for all of our workshops and are offering a special holiday sale until December 23rd! Click here for more info.
